(1) Screw (2) Stop (3) Lever (4) Link
Unlatch the windshield. Bring the windshield to the position that is shown in Illustration 1.
Loosen screw (1) that secures the stop (2) onto the windshield frame.
Adjust the stop so that lever (3) in the 151-6818 Link (4) slightly contacts the top of the stop.
Excessive wear occurs on the stop as a result of being positioned high on the windshield frame. This causes the windshield to experience a catch during the initial opening.
If the stop is positioned too low on the windshield frame, the link assembly will not release when you attempt to close the windshield. This prevents you from pushing the windshield forward in order to latch the windshield.

The link assembly and the stop
Test the adjustment of the stop by opening the windshield. The lever should easily slide over the top of the stop when the windshield is opened from the forward closed position.
Completely open the windshield. Bring the windshield to the down position. If the lever in the link assembly does not have enough contact with the stop, you will be unable to push the windshield forward. Adjust the stop upward until the link assembly allows the windshield to close.Lubrication of the Windshield Linkage
The shafts for the nylon ramps on the cab frame must be lubricated for smooth operation. Use 129-1968 Grease in order to lubricate the nylon ramps.

Lubricate shaft (6) on the left upper frame member. This is shown in Illustration 4. This will aid in moving the windshield to the overhead storage position and releasing the windshield from the overhead storage position. Note: The nylon ramp and the windshield may bind if this shaft is not kept well lubricated. This may cause the windshield to become jammed in the overhead storage position.
