Removal Procedure
Start By:
Remove the oscillating axle. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Oscillating Axle (Rear) - Remove and Install" for the machine that is being serviced.

Place the oscillating axle on suitable blocks, as shown.
Remove yoke (1) from the differential pinion shaft.
Attach a suitable lifting device to the front trunnion support (2). The weight of the front trunnion support is approximately 68 kg (150 lb).
Remove front trunnion support (2).

Remove O-ring seals (3) from front trunnion support (2). Note:

Illustration 4 g00517735Note: Bearing sleeve (4) is retained in the bores of the front trunnion support. Pry one side of the sleeve bearing over the top of the other side at the diagonal separation, as shown. DO NOT use a press to remove the bearing sleeve.
Remove sleeve bearing (4) from the front trunnion support. Installation Procedure

Install sleeve bearing (4) in the front trunnion support by overlapping the sides at the diagonal separation.

Push sleeve bearing (4) into the counterbore of the front trunnion support. Make sure that one side of the sleeve bearing is flush with the other side at the diagonal separation.

Install O-ring seals (3) in front trunnion support (2).
ApplyTooling (A) to the sleeve bearing and the O-ring seals.

Attach a suitable lifting device to front trunnion support (2). The weight of the front trunnion support is approximately 68 kg (150 lb).
Install front trunnion support (2) on the oscillating axle.
