Be sure that the inside and outside diameters of collets (10) are thoroughly clean. Apply Tooling (C) on the outside diameters of collets (10). Position a collet (10) on each end of pin (11).
Install a washer and bolt (9) in each end of pin (11).
Tighten bolts (9) by the following steps.
Tighten each bolt (9) to a torque of 800 100 N m (590 74 lb ft).
Hit each collet (10) with a heavy hammer until the torque on each bolt is less than 425 N m (313 lb ft).
Tighten each bolt (9) again to a torque of 800 100 N m (590 74 lb ft).
Hit each collet (10) again with a heavy hammer until the torque on each bolt is less than 700 N m (520 lb ft).
Tighten each bolt (9) again to a final torque of 800 100 N m (590 74 lb ft). Note: After 50 service hours, tighten bolts (9). Refer to Steps 6.a through 6.e.

Install pin assembly (8), bolt (7), the washer, and the spacer. Tighten bolt (7) to a torque of 460 60 N m (340 44 lb ft).

Connect grease hose assembly (6) to tilt cylinder (4).

Check the condition of the O-ring seal in hose assembly (5). If the seal is worn or damaged, use a new seal for replacement. Connect hose assembly (5) to tilt cylinder (4).

Check the condition of the O-ring seals in tube assembly (2) and in the hose assembly. If the seals are worn or damaged, use a new seal for replacement. Position tube assembly (2), the hose assembly, and the brackets in position on tilt cylinder (4). Install bolts (3). Install bolts (1).
Repeat Steps 1 through 10 for the installation of the other tilt cylinder. Disassembly and Assembly Information

When you are using hydraulic cylinders and puller studs, always ensure that the rated capacity of the puller stud meets or exceeds the rated capacity of the hydraulic cylinder. If the puller stud does not meet or exceed the rated capacity of the hydraulic cylinder, a sudden failure of the puller stud could occur. The sudden failure of the puller stud could result in personal injury or death.

Lightly lubricate buffer seal (1) with the lubricant that is being sealed.
Lightly lubricate U-cup seal (2) with the lubricant that is being sealed.
Apply Tooling (D) to the groove for wiper seal
