Information:


At operating temperature, the engine coolant is hot and under pressure. Steam can cause personal injury. Drain the coolant only after the engine has been stopped and the fill cap is cool enough to touch with your bare hand. Remove the fill cap from the radiator slowly to relieve pressure. Cooling system conditioner contains alkali. Avoid contact with the skin and eyes to avoid personal injury.
1. Drain the oil from the hydraulic tank.2. Drain the coolant from the cooling system. 3. Disconnect hose assemblies (2) and (3) from the bonnet.4. Remove the four bolts, and disconnect elbow (1) from the lower brake oil cooler. 5. Loosen hose clamp (5) that holds the hose to elbow (4). Move the hose away from the elbow.6. Remove the four bolts and elbow (4) from the lower brake oil cooler. 7. Disconnect the hose assemblies from upper brake oil cooler (8).8. Remove the bolt and clamp (10) from tube (7).9. Remove the bolts and retainers from each end of tube (7), and remove the tube.10. Fasten a hoist to the brake oil coolers.11. Remove the bolts that hold bonnets (6) and (9) to the brackets. Remove brake oil coolers (8) and (11) and the bonnets as an assembly. The weight of the assembly is 80 kg (177 lb).12. Put alignment marks on the brake oil coolers and bonnets (6) and (9), and remove the bonnets from the oil coolers. The following steps are for installation of the brake oil coolers. Also, make sure the tubes in the oil coolers are clean and free of dirt and other foreign material.13. Put clean engine oil on all of the O-ring seals.14. Make sure the gaskets and O-ring seals are in position, and install bonnets (6) and (9) on the brake oil coolers.15. Fasten a hoist to brake oil coolers. Put the oil coolers and bonnets in position on the brackets, and install the bolts that hold them in place.16. Put tube (7) in position, and install the retainers and bolts at each end of the tube. Install clamp (10) and the bolt to hold tube (7) in place.17. Connect the hose assemblies to upper brake oil cooler (8).18. Put elbow (4) in position on the rear of the lower brake oil cooler, and install the four bolts that hold it.19. Put the hose back into position on elbow (4), and tighten hose clamp (5) that holds it in place.20. Put elbow (1) in position on the front of the lower brake oil cooler, and install the four bolts that hold it.21. Connect hose assemblies (2) and (3).22. Fill the hydraulic tank and cooling systems with the proper fluids to their correct levels. See the Operation Maintenance Manual.
