PARTS DISPOSITION
Handle the parts in accordance with your Warranty Bulletin on warranty parts handling.
Rework Procedure
The "fish plates" were replaced by redesigned plates that are easier to weld. The new plates have been implemented in Production and Special Instruction REHS4249 has been revised (-03 or later) to show the installation of the new plates.
Remove the front frame covers. Disconnect hydraulic lines from rear control valve and protect ends from debris. Cover cab with weld blankets to protect from slag and sparks. Follow Special Instructions REHS4249 which outlines needed parts and welds.
