"Files On-board" Tab
From the "Files On-Board" tab, right-click any file and complete any of the following tasks:
Remove the file.
Rename the file.
Activate the file.
Deactivate the file.
Set the file to be the primary file.
Change the offset.
Change the group.Files listed in capital letters on the "Files On-Board" menu indicate the following: the machine has informed the office that the machine has the file on-board but the office does not have a record of the file. Files that the office is aware of have the usage displayed in lower case.The office knows about files a machine has on-board nearly 100 percent of the time, and will have a local copy of those files. Visualizing files made available on-board a machine by some other means, will not be displayed when using "Machine Assistant". In this case, download the file from the machine to the office.Removing a File From a Machine
Perform the following procedure:
Open "Machine Assistant".
Right-click the design file to remove, and click "Remove File".If the machine you are removing the file from is shutdown, or out of communication range, you will receive a notification saying "Failed to delete file<file name on<machine name>. The file will be deleted automatically when the machine comes online". The status of the file will display as "Delete Pending" until the machine is back online.Note: Be careful to select the correct design file to remove as there is not prompt to confirm that the correct file is selected. If the incorrect file is selected for deletion, right-click and select "Cancel" on the file with the "Delete Pending" status.Renaming an Onboard Design File
Perform the following procedure:
Open "Machine Assistant".
Right-click the design file to remove, and click "Rename File".
The new name for the file can be entered in the "Name" field for that file.
Click "Apply" to save changes and continue, or click "OK" to save changes and exit the window.Activating an On-board Design File
Perform the following procedure:
Open "Machine Assistant".
Right-click the design file to activate, and click "Activate File". The description in the "Status" column changes to "Active".More than one file on a machine can be active at the same time. All active files are displayed by the on-board software.
Click "Apply" to save changes and continue, or click "OK" to save changes and exit the window.Note: Limit the number of active files to two or three. This number helps the operator to see everything that is on the operator screen.To see which files are active on a machine, click the "Status" column. All the "Active" files are then grouped together. Files may be sent to a machine at a convenient time before the files are required.
