Preparation
Removing Electrical Wiring
Removing electrical wiringDisconnect harnesses and wires from the following devices.Before disconnecting, attach tags or other indications on the terminals to facilitate reconnection.* Starter* SwitchesDraining Coolant
Loosen the coolant drain plug on the right-hand side of the cylinder block to drain coolant.After draining coolant, reinstall the drain plug and tighten to the specified torque.
Draining coolantDraining Engine Oil
Remove the drain plug from the oil pan to drain engine oil.After draining engine oil, reinstall the drain plug and tighten to the specified torque. (Oil pan capacity: 5.7 l [1.51 U.S. gal])
Do not touch hot drained engine oil since it can be hot and cause burns.
