369-6017 Transmission Case Cover     1    Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before assembly, clean all parts thoroughly in cleaning fluid. Allow the parts to air dry. Wiping cloths or rags should not be used to dry parts. Lint may be deposited on the parts which may cause later trouble. Inspect all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement.

Adjust Tooling (C) . Dimension (Y) should measure approximately 310 mm (12.0 inch). Dimension (X) should measure approximately 370 mm (15.0 inch). Attach a suitable lifting device to Tooling (C) . The weight of Tooling (C) is approximately 227 kg (500 lb).
Install Tooling (C) onto transmission assembly (9) . The weight of transmission assembly (9) is approximately 544 kg (1200 lb). Install bolts (8) and (10) to a torque of 105 20 N m (77 14 lb ft).

Connect harness assembly (7) .

Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting, and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Cat products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.
Use Tooling (B) to install filters (2) . Install housing (3) . Install plug (5) . Position plates (4) and install bolts (6) .

Install yoke (1) .

Remove Tooling (A) from the hydraulic tank.
Fill the transmission with oil. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Transmission System Oil and Screens - Change/Clean".End By:
Install the winch or the drawbar. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Winch - Remove and Install". Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Drawbar - Remove and Install".
Install the main drive shaft. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Main Drive Shaft - Remove and Install".
