These tools are designed for safety and improved process efficiency. The 452-3340 Lifting Plate Assembly is made out of steel and is used with a load rated Eyebolt Assembly (421-5663) to safely and quickly aid in the process of removing and installing the torque converter.

The 452-3340 Lifting Plate Assembly, assembled on the 793D Torque Converter
The lifting plate should be attached and tightened to the torque converter as shown in Illustration 5.
Secure the eyebolt assembly to the top side of the lifting plate.
Make sure that the eyebolt assembly is firmly secured. Tighten the bolts to standard torque.
Use the appropriate hoist mechanism to raise and support the tool with the converter.
The weight of the torque converter is approximately 1043 kg (2300 lbs).
The Working Load Limit (WLL) of the 452-3340 Lifting Plate Assembly is 1129 kg (2490 lbs).Inspection and Maintenance Section
Inspection
Inspect tooling prior to each use for damage, bending, nicks, burrs, dents, cracks, bent or worn parts. If damage is found, destroy the tool and dispose of as scrap. Replace damaged tool with new product.
Do not use unless the Working Load Limit (WLL) identification markings are legible.
Do not use if lifting plate is bent, cracked, or damaged. Do not use if any holes are elongated or deformed.
