Machine Preparation
Move the machine to a hard level surface.
Avoid sudden steering inputs when you are parking the machine.
Apply the service brakes to stop the machine.
Move the transmission control lever to the PARK position.
If the body is fully lowered, place the hoist control lever in the FLOAT position for at least 10 seconds.
If the body is in the raised position, ensure that all the body pins have been installed correctly, or that the retaining cable has been installed correctly. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Body Retaining Pins - Installation", or Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Cable (Truck Body Retaining) - Installation" for instructions on securing the truck body. Place the hoist control lever in the FLOAT position for at least 10 seconds.
Turn the engine start switch to the OFF position to stop the engine.
Turn the battery disconnect switch to the OFF position.
Disconnect the battery. Refer to Special Instruction, SEHS7633, "Battery Maintenance Procedure" for additional information on the battery.
Chock the front wheels and the rear wheels. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Wheel Chock (Front and Rear) - Remove and Install".Installation Procedure

Remove the existing breather and associated hardware from the fuel tank.

Secure fabricated plate (12) to the frame by using two bolts (11) and two hard washers (10).Secure head (6) to fabricated plate (12) by using four bolts (8) and four hard washers (7).Secure pipe connector (9) and the retained breather to head (6).Secure fabricated hose assembly (1) to the top of the fuel tank by using the retained hardware, and to connector assembly (9).Secure fabricated hose assembly (1) to the machine by using two bolts (5), two hard washers (4), two clips (3), and two clips (2).Secure fabricated hose assembly (13) to the other end of head (6).

Secure fabricated hose assembly (13) to the machine by using fabricated plate assembly (14) three bolts (5), three hard washers (4), clip (3), and clip (2).
