See the replacement article that follows.Description of Change: Changes were made to the following parts: the Fuel Lines Group of the Fuel Filter, the Battery and Wiring Group and the Engine Electronic Control and Mounting Group. The parts were changed in order to reduce the number of components. The parts were changed in order to incorporate a new mounting location for a new engine wiring harness. The changes to the harness provide a more consistent path of routing, which will help to improve the assembly of the harness and the reliability of the harness. Adaptable To: The changes to the following components were made at the same time: 186-2169 Engine Electronic Control and Mounting Gp, 161-1503 Engine Wiring Gp, 161-1507 Fuel Lines Group and 159-9263 Battery and Wiring Gp The changes are effective with the following engine (S/N: BET10454 ) and with the following Track-Type Tractors:

6YZ1884In order to adapt the changes to the early production machines, the machine must be equipped with the steel fuel tubes that are discussed in Service Magazine, SEPD0697, 25 August 2003, "New Fuel Lines are Available". Therefore, the changes are only adaptable to the following Track-Type Tractors:
