CAP 2H9102 - Caterpillar

1. Remove four bolts (1), and remove transmission brake (2) from the transmission. 2. Remove seal (4) from the brake housing.3. Remove two snap rings (3), and remove pad (5) from the housing. 4. Remove two springs (6) and pad (7) from the housing. 5. Remove two pistons (8) from the brake housing. Remove two seals (10) from each piston. The following steps are for installation of the transmission brake.6. Check all seals for wear or damage, and replace them if necessary. Lubricate the seals with transmission oil during assembly.7. If two dowels (9) were removed, install them until they project 11.5 .25 mm (.45 .010 in.) from surface (X).8. Install two seals (10) on two pistons (8). Install two pistons (8) in the brake housing.9. Install pad (7) and spring (6) on the dowels.10. Position pad (5) on the dowels, and install two snap rings (3).11. Install seal (4) in the brake housing.12. Put transmission brake (2) in position in the transmission, and install two bolts (1).End By:a. install transmission shift group
