Install Tooling (B) and a suitable lifting device to updrive gears housing (45). The weight of the updrive gears housing is approximately 187 kg (412 lb).
Separate updrive gears housing (45) from the torque converter.

Bend the tab on nut lock (48) away from nut (49) .
Use Tooling (C) in order to remove nut (49) from the pump drive gear.
Remove six bolts (47) from adapter (46) .

Use Tooling (F) in order to remove the transfer gear from adapter (46) .

Remove bearing cone (50) from adapter (46) .
Remove adapter (46) from the updrive gears housing.

Remove bearing cup (51) from adapter (46) .
Remove O-ring seal (52) from adapter (46) .

Remove bearing cup (53) from adapter (46) .
Remove spacer (54) from adapter (46) .

Remove transfer gear (55) from the updrive gears housing.

Remove spacer (56) from gear (55) .

Use Tooling (G) in order to remove bearing cone (57) from gear (55) .

Remove four bolts (58) .
Remove pump drive gear (59), the bearing and the bearing cage.

Remove retaining ring (60), thrust washer (61) and shims (62) that hold the gear to the bearing cage.

Use Tooling (J) and a press in order to remove bearing cage (63) from pump drive gear (59) .

Remove bearing cup (66), bearing cup (67) and spacer (65) from bearing cage (63) .
