Drive the machine to a smooth, horizontal surface.

Move propel lever (4) to the NEUTRAL position.
Rotate speed dial (2) to the MINIMUM position.
Move drive selector switch (3) to the STANDBY position.
Move propel mode switch (1) to the TRAVEL position.

Move screed lift switch (5) to the LOWER position. Lower the screed.

Move throttle lever (6) to the LOW IDLE position.
Move parking brake switch (7) to the ON position.
Move engine start switch (8) to the OFF position.

Open front door (9) on the right side of the machine.

Install prop rod (10) .

Disconnect balance line (12) from port "MA".
Use Tool (F) to plug the hose, and use Tool (E) to cap the port.
Disconnect balance line (11) from port "MB".
Use Tool (F) to plug the hose, and use Tool (E) to cap the port.

Disconnect reverse EDC connector (13).
Disconnect forward EDC connector (14) .
Connect Tool (C) to Tool (B). Make two sets of this tooling.
Connect both sets of Tool (B) to Tool (A) .

Remove forward plug (16) from port "X1".
Remove reverse plug (15) from port "X2".
Install Tool (G) in port "X1". Install second Tool (G) in port "X2".
Install Tool (C) on Tool (G) port "X1". Install second Tool (C) on Tool (G) in port "X2".
Move engine start switch (8) to the START position. Release the switch when the engine starts.
Move throttle lever (6) to the HIGH IDLE position.
Monitor the hydraulic oil temperature with Tool (D). Operate the machine until the oil temperature reaches 40 10° C (104 18° F).
Read the forward pressure at port "X1".
Read the reverse pressure at port "X2".
The differential between the forward pressure and the reverse pressure should be less than 100 kPa (14 psi).
If the pressure differential is outside the specified range, go to Step 31. If the pressure differential is inside the specified range, go to Step 33.

Note: Adjustment screw (17) is an eccentric adjuster. One half revolution of the adjustment screw gives maximum adjustment.
Loosen locking screw (17) with a 10 mm wrench. Rotate adjustment screw (18) with a standard screwdriver until the pressure at port "X1" and the pressure at port "X2" are equal. Hold adjustment screw (18), and tighten locking screw (17) .
Go to Step 27.
Move throttle lever (6) to the LOW IDLE position.
Move engine start switch (8) to the OFF position.
Remove Tool (C) from port "X1".
Remove Tool (C) from port "X2".
Remove Tool (G) from port "X1", and install forward plug (16) .
Remove Tool (G) from port "X2", and install reverse plug (15) .
Remove Tool (F) from the hose, and remove Tool (E) from port of balance line (12).
Connect balance line (12) to port "MA".
Remove Tool (F) from the hose, and remove Tool (E) from port of balance line (11).
Connect balance line (11) to port "MB".
Connect reverse EDC connector (13) .
Connect forward EDC connector (14) .
Place prop rod (10) in the stored position. Close front door (9) on the right side of the machine.
