Note: This procedure can be done on machines equipped with a front and a rear vibratory drum.
Drive the machine to a smooth, horizontal surface.

Move propulsion lever (1) to the NEUTRAL position.

Move parking brake switch (2) to the ON position.

Move throttle lever (3) to the LOW IDLE position.

Move engine start switch (4) to the OFF position.
Connect Tool (C) to Tool (B) .
Connect Tool (B) to Tool (A). Use the "MIN/MAX" switch to set Tool (A) to record the maximum pressure.

Unhook latch (5) on each side of the machine, and open the engine compartment.

Install hood prop rod (6) .

Remove cap (7). Connect Tool (C) to pressure tap (8) on the top face of the vibratory manifold.
Move engine start switch (4) to the START position. Release the switch when the engine starts.
Operate the engine at LOW IDLE for a few minutes.
Move throttle lever (3) to the HIGH IDLE position. Operate the engine at 2580 25 rpm.
Monitor the hydraulic oil temperature with Tool (E). Operate the machine until the oil temperature reaches a minimum of 50 °C (122 °F).

Place vibratory drum control switch (9) in the FRONT DRUM position.

Depress vibratory control switch (10) on propulsion lever (1).
Slightly move propulsion lever (1) out of the NEUTRAL position. Stop movement when the vibrator starts. Allow the pressure in the system to stabilize.
Move vibratory drum control switch (9) to the BOTH DRUMS position, and read the maximum pressure on Tool (A). The intercircuit relief pressure should be 10 000 500 kPa (1450 73 psi).Note: The force needed to overcome the inertia of the vibratory rear weight causes the pressure in the system to momentarily reach the intercircuit relief setting. The maximum pressure shown on Tool (A) is the intercircuit relief setting.
Move propulsion lever (1) into the NEUTRAL position. Depress vibratory control switch (10).
Move throttle control lever (3) to the LOW IDLE position.
Move engine start switch (4) to the OFF position.
If the pressure setting is within the specified range, go to Step 27. If the pressure setting is not within specifications, go to Step 23.

Remove the cap from rear drum relief valve (11) .
Loosen locknut (12). In order to increase the pressure, turn adjustment screw (13) clockwise. In order to decrease pressure, rotate the adjustment screw counterclockwise.Note: One quarter turn of adjustment screw (13) changes the pressure by approximately 15000 kPa (218 psi).
Hold adjustment screw (13) in place and tighten locknut (12).
Go to Step 11.
Remove the tooling. If necessary, install Tool (D) on relief valve (11). Close the engine compartment.
