Location of the Current Transformer Interface Board (CTI) (1) (CTI) BoardThe (CTI) Board is located on the lower left panel of the flywheel cabinet. The following are functions of the (CTI) (1) :
Provides +15VDC and -15VDC power for the Hall Current Transformer.
Control the K1 and K2 precharge contactors and monitor the status of the K1 and K2 precharge contactors
Monitor the status of the ribbon cables and the 5V supply.
Monitor the DC Disconnect Switch status
Monitor the DC Bus Current

Connections for the Current Transformer Interface BoardRemoval Procedure
Refer to Systems Operation, Testing and Adjusting, RENR7654, "Internal Component Preremoval Steps (Flywheel Cabinet)" in order to shut down the system and gain access to internal components.
Electrostatic discharge can damage integrated circuits or semiconductors if you touch bus connector pins. When not in use, keep the module in its static-shield bag. Follow these guidelines when you handle any module:Touch a grounded object to discharge static potential.Wear an approved wrist-strap grounding device.Do not touch the bus connector or connector pins.Do not touch circuit components inside the module.If available, use a static-safe work station.
Disconnect all the connectors from the board (1). Refer to illustration 2.
Remove screw (J10) from the bottom of the board.
Disconnect the four white plastic standoffs that connect the board (1) to the left panel. Refer to illustration 2.
Pinch the head of each standoff so that the board (1) is not locked to the standoff.
Remove the board (1) by gently pulling the board (1) from all standoffs at the same time.Installation Procedure

Position the board (1) in the cabinet over the four white standoffs that are connected to the left panel.
Install the board (1) onto the standoffs simultaneously.
Install screw (J10) in the bottom of the board (1) .
Connect the wire connections into the board. Refer to illustration 2 for proper placement.
