Assembly Procedure
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

Place the following components in position on shaft (6): retainer (1), pinion (2) and washer (5). Install bolt (7).
Install new O-ring seals (15) on shaft (6). Apply clean engine oil to the O-ring seals.
Install shaft (6) in the bracket assembly.
Place the spacer in position on shaft (6) and install guide (3). Do not tighten the guide at this time.
Place spring (4) and washer (10) in position on shaft (6). Install ring (8).
Place stem (14) and spring (9) in position in the bracket assembly. Install guide (11).
Install nut (12) and knob (13) on stem (14).
Tighten guide (3) to a torque of 270 25 N m (200 18 lb ft). End By:
Install the manual barring group. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Manual Barring Group - Install".
