Do NOT use the electrical components (ECM or ECM sensors) or electronic component grounding for grounding the welder.
4. Protect any wiring harnesses from the debris which is created from welding. Protect any wiring harnesses from the splatter which is created from welding.5. Use standard welding procedures in order to weld the materials together.General Instructions:
1. When installing universal lines kits, follow safe practices as outlined in the service manual for your machine.2. Position linkage for the easiest access to the top of the boom and stick (stick cylinder fully retracted, stick nose on the ground).3. Position upper with cab over drive sprockets to provide optimum access to the cover beneath main valves.4. Drain hydraulic tank (see service manual for the proper procedure). Welding Requirement:1. Weld quality is critical to the success of this in-installation. Weld should be as smooth and continuous as possible.2. Remove all dirt, rust, paint and grease or water from each weld area at the time of welding.3. All electrodes must be completely dry.4. Do not weld in areas where there is air movement or in temperatures below 60 degrees F (15.5C).5. Use one of the following electrodes or their equivalent, E70-1, E70 S3 or E7018.
