CAP 6R8297 - Caterpillar

1. Pull rod (1), and remove body retaining pin (2) from the storage position. 2. Move the body to the full up position.3. Put body retaining pin (2) in position as shown. 4. Remove nut (4), and disconnect rod (3) from lever (5). This will prevent an operator from trying to to lower the body while the body retaining pins are holding the body in an up position. The steps to follow are for removal of the body retaining pins.5. Put rod (1) in position in lever (3), and install nut (2).6. Remove body retaining pin (2).7. Lower the body.8. Pull on rod (1), and put body retaining pin (2) in the storage position. Release rod (1) to hold the body safety pin in the storage position.
