Shifter Selection Function
The transmission has several types of shift selectors that are available to be used. The shift selector may be a J1939 pushbutton shifter, a J1939 lever shifter, a PWM shifter, or a switch to ground shifter. The ability to have two shift selectors is desired for some applications. This function requires a SWC input to the ECU sensor common and some programmable parameters to enable both of the shifters.Note: The SWC must return to pin J2-22 for sensor common at the ECU. A chassis ground connection for the SWC is incorrect. When the shift selector input has a closed circuit, then the shift selector input switches to identify the shifter. The circuit is a dual input and will only recognize one of the closed circuits.When the shift selector input has a closed circuit at pin J2-40 and an open circuit at pin J2-35, the primary shift selector is selected. When pin J2-40 has an open circuit and pin J2-35 is a closed circuit, the secondary shifter is selected. The switch will only occur if both shift selectors are selecting NEUTRAL, the transmission is in NEUTRAL, and the output speed is zero. If any of the conditions are not met, then the shift selector input will not switch until all the conditions are met. The display of the inactive shift selector may vary depending on the type of shifter that is selected. The J1939 shifters will display dual asterisks to indicate that the shifter is not active.

Secondary Shifter Closed Open The secondary shifter parameter is used to designate whether a secondary shifter is installed. When the parameter is programmed to "Not Installed", the transmission will ignore the switch input at contact J2-35 and contact J2-40. If the parameter is programmed to "J1939", the transmission will respond to the secondary shifter when the circuit is closed at contact J2-35.Note: When the secondary shifter is installed, the display will show the active gear selection of the transmission.Pumper Automatic Power Shift (Automatic Pump Mode)
The auto power shift will set the requested gear to the maximum available gear when the transmission is placed in drive. The transmission will upshift and downshift beneath the limited gear based on the factory set shift points. The transmission will now allow skip shifting. The reverse gear is not available in this mode. Pressing the "R" key on the shifter will activate the park gear.Manual Power Shift (Manual Pump Mode)
The manual power shift will set the requested gear to the minimum available gear when the transmission is placed in drive. The transmission will hold the current gear until a command to change to the requested gear has been sent by the operator. The operator can upshift and downshift beneath the maximum programmed gear with the commands from the shifter. The transmission will not allow skip shifting. The reverse gear is not available in this mode. Pressing the "R" key on the shifter will activate the park gear.Low Idle Power Shift
