Brake Oil Cooler (Rear)

(2) Screen for hoist and brake oil cooler The brake oil cooler (1) is located on the right side of the engine. Engine coolant from the water pump flows through brake oil cooler (1). Then, the engine coolant flows back to the cylinder block.The rear brakes are cooled by oil. When the hoist control valve is in the HOLD, FLOAT, or SNUB position, all oil from the hoist pump flows through the hoist and brake oil cooler (1) that is located on the right side of the engine. Excess oil from the brake system joins the oil from the hoist pump and the excess oil flows to the oil cooler. Oil flows from the oil cooler through the rear brakes. The oil then returns to the hydraulic tank through the return screen.Screen (2) for rear brake oil cooler (1) is located behind the plug.The oil cooler relief valve for brake cooling is located on the control valve. The relief valve limits the brake oil cooling pressure when the hoist control valve is in the HOLD, FLOAT, or SNUB position.
