Removal Procedure
Start By:
Remove catalytic converters.
Remove mufflers.

Remove bolts (1), bolts (2), and bolts (3).

Remove bolts (5).
Use a suitable lifting device to remove support assembly (4). The weight of support assembly (4) is approximately 518 kg (1142 lb).

Remove heat shield assembly (6) and heat shield assembly (7)

Remove band clamp (8), band clamp (10), band clamp (12), band clamp (13), tube assembly (9), and tube assembly (11).Note: Band clamps are one use only. Discard and replace with a new one.

Remove bolts (14) and plate (15).

Disconnect tee adapter (16) and position out of the way.

Disconnect elbow (17).

Remove the straps and position harness assembly (18) out of the way.

Remove bolt (20), bolt (21), bolt (22), bolt (23), bolt (24), bolt (25), and heat shield (19).

Disconnect hose assembly (26), hose assembly (27), hose assembly (28), tube assembly (29), hose assembly (30), hose assembly (31), and hose assembly (32).
Remove tee adapter (33).

Remove bolt (34), bolt (35), bolt (36), bolt (37), bolt (38), bolt (39), and heat shield (40).Installation Procedure
Install the heat shields in the reverse order of removal.
Tighten new band clamp (13), band clamp (12), band clamp (10), and band clamp (8) to a torque of 35 2 N m (26 1 lb ft) with 75 rpm max wrench speed.
