1 4 4W-1478 Exhaust Seal Install the rings so that the breaks in the rings are not aligned. Rotate the rings for approximately 45 degrees from one ring to the next ring.
2 8 168-7800 Locknut Before assembly, apply Loctite C5A Copper Anti-Seize to the threads.
Torque to 54 5 N m (40 4 lb ft).
3 - - Torque to 20.0 1.5 N m (177.0 13.3 lb in).
4 - - Use the following procedure to tighten the clamp:
1. Tighten the clamp to 14.0 1.5 N m (123.9 13.3 lb in).
2. Gently tap around the clamps with a soft faced hammer.
3. Again tighten the clamp to 14.0 1.5 N m (123.9 13.3 lb in).
5 - - Use the following procedure to tighten the clamp:
1. Tighten the clamp to 14.0 1.5 N m (123.9 13.3 lb in).
2. Gently tap around the clamps with a soft faced hammer.
3. Again tighten the clamp to 14.0 1.5 N m (123.9 13.3 lb in).
