Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.
Illustration 1 g01292465Note: The rear face of cover (3) and the front face of the housing must be clean.
Inspect the condition of the gasket. Replace the gasket, if necessary.
Position the gasket and cover (3) on the front housing.
Install studs (2). Note: Bolt (4) is a through bolt. Apply Tooling (A) to the threads prior to installation.
Install bolt (4).
Install bolts (1). End By:
Install the crankshaft front seal. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Crankshaft Front Seal - Install".
Install the fan drive mounting group. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Fan Drive Mounting Group - Remove and Install".
Install the fuel transfer pump. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Fuel Transfer Pump - Install".
