14. Disconnect oil lines (15), (16) and (17) from the left side on the gooseneck. 15. Install tooling (D) and caps on the oil lines on the gooseneck.
Make a visual check to see if all necessary lines, tubes, hoses, brackets and clamps have been disconnected or remove from the cushion hitch.
16. Disconnect oil lines (19) and (20) from the steering cylinder (servo-sender).17. Remove bolts (18), and remove the steering cylinder (servo-sender) and bracket from the hitch. 18. Remove the cotter pin and pin that hold nut (21) in place. 19. Use tooling (A) to remove nut (21) from the rear horizontal pin. 20. Remove four bolts (22) that hold the pin and bearings in place. 21. Remove the lockwire, bolts (23) and retainer (24) from both ends of the front horizontal pin. 22. Use tooling (B) as shown to push rear horizontal pin (25) out of the hitch. 23. Turn tooling (B) around, and push the front horizontal pin out of the hitch.
Do not let the pin damage anything on the back of the engine as it is removed.
24. Use tooling (F) or a hoist to lift the gooseneck and hitch until the hitch is clear of the tractor.25. Remove bearing (26) from both sides of the hitch. 26. Remove ring (28) and bearing (27) from both sides of the hitch. Bearings (31) will have to be cut out if a replacement is necessary.27. Use tooling (C) to remove bearings (29). 28. Use tooling (C) to remove bearings (30) from the hitch.29. Remove seals (32).30. Use tooling (C) to remove bearings (31). Pull one bearing out; then remove the tooling and the bearing. Install tooling (C), and pull the other bearing out. 31. Remove yokes (33) from the two vertical hitch pins.32. Remove yokes (34) from the three steering link pins shown.33. Remove two pins (35) from the front of the steering links. 34. Fasten a hoist to the right steering link. Remove pin (36) and right steering link (37). Weight of the steering link is 79 kg (175 lb.). 35. Fasten a hoist to the cushion hitch as shown. If vertical hitch pins (39) are tight, use tool (G) and a wooden block to remove the pins. Use two men to remove the pins. The weight of each pin is 29 kg (65 lb.).36. Move wire (38) clear of the cushion hitch as the hitch is removed. Weight of the hitch is 2295 kg (5059 lb.).Install Cushion Hitch
1. Fasten a hoist to cushion hitch (1) as shown.2. Install chain (2) as shown to hold the cushion hitch load cylinder retracted as shown. 3. Install washers (3), (4) and (5) on the hitch as shown. Washers (4) and (6) are brass washers. 4. Put the cushion hitch in position on the gooseneck, and install brass washer (6).5. Install vertical hitch pins (7). 6. Fasten a hoist, and put right steering link (9) in position as shown.7. Install pin (8). 8. Put washers (11) in position between the steering
