Before installing a new harness (1) first disconnect the female 12-pin connector on the 455-3049 Cab Harness As from the male USB port at the back of the CMPD. The USB port on the CMPD is Connector (3) on the left side of the CMPD that is nearest to the instrument cluster.
At the female 12-pin connector, identify the four leads of the existing harness at pins 9, 10, 11 and 12. Use a suitable extraction tool and disconnect the leads. Using a suitable insertion tool, connect the four leads of the new harness (1) to the 12-pin connector. Refer to Table 1 for the correct leads and pins.

Reinstall the female 12-pin connector into the back to the CMPD.
Route the new harness (1) along the same path the original cable takes. Use suitable cable straps to replace existing ones, so the new cable is secured to the cab harnesses at the same places. Use suitable tooling to remove the female connector end of the original Harness, and store the female end of the new cable in the correct storage position.
