Open the lower rear access door on the left side of the machine.

Loosen retaining bolt (1).
Remove filter housing (2) and the filter element.
Wash the filter element, the filter housing, and the filter housing base with a clean, nonflammable solvent.
Use pressure air to dry the filter element.
Inspect the filter housing seal. Replace the seal if the seal is damaged.
Inspect the filter element. If the filter element is damaged, replace the filter element.
Do not fill fuel filters with fuel before installing them. Contaminated fuel will cause accelerated wear to fuel system parts.
Install the filter element and filter housing (2) onto the filter housing base.
Tighten the retaining bolt.
Close the lower rear access door.
