1 To install a 2V6122 Counterweight Group remove cover assemblies (1) from each side of the bumper. Remove the former counterweights (if so equipped). Use an ARCAIR torch or similar tool to remove retainers (2) from inside the bumper. 2 Use a hoist to put the new counterweight in position inside the bumper. [Each counterweight weighs approximately 1800 lbs. (815)]. Use the counterweight as a guide to mark the location for the new fastener holes (A). Remove the counterweight. Drill three 1.25" Ø (31.8 Ø) holes (A) in each side of the bumper. 3 Install 4V4003 Block (4) and 1D6306 Nut (5) on 4V3005 Rod (3). Tighten nuts (5) to 265 35 lb.ft. (360 45) torque. Put counterweight (6) in position inside the bumper and install rods (3) from the lower side. Put a 4V4004 Bar (7) and a 1B4333 Nut (8) on each rod (3). Install the cover assemblies on each side of the bumper. 4 To install a 1V4889 Counterweight Group use the same procedure as described in steps 1 and 2. Put two 4V3672 Counterweights (6) on each side. Use three 4V4006 Rods (9) with three 4V4003 Blocks (4), three 4V4004 Bars (7), three 1D6306 Nuts (5) and three 1B4333 Nuts (8) to fasten the counterweights on each side of the bumper. Tighten nuts (5) to 265 35 lb.ft. (360 45) torque.
