Transmission drain valve

Remove plug (6) from the bottom of the drain valve at the rear of the transmission cover. Install a 12.7 mm (.5 inch) pipe into the drain valve. Use a 12.7 mm (0.50 inch) pipe with 1/2-14 NPTF threads. Clamp a hose to the pipe to drain the oil into a suitable container.
Open drain valve (7) and drain the oil into the container.
Allow oil to drain completely from the power train components of the machine.
Close drain valve (5) on the torque converter. Close drain valve (7) at the rear of the transmission cover.
Remove the hoses and remove the pipes from the torque converter drain valve and the transmission drain valve.
Remove the swivel and the hose, or remove the pipe and the hose, from the drain valve in the bevel gear case. The internal drain valve will close.
Clean the oil drain plugs and install the oil drain plugs.
Properly dispose of the used power train oil. Clean Screens
Screens should be removed and cleaned when the oil is drained. Drain the oil into a suitable container before removing any screen.Inspect all components that are removed during this maintenance procedure for wear or for damage. Replace all components that show signs of wear or show signs of damage.Torque Converter Scavenge Screen
Note: Service the torque converter scavenge screen only when the oil has been drained from the torque converter.

(8) Scavenge line
Remove torque converter scavenge line (8) from the torque converter.

(9) Scavenge screen
Remove scavenge screen (9) from the torque converter housing.
Wash the screen in a clean, nonflammable solvent.
Inspect the seal. If the seal is damaged, replace the seal.
Install the screen. Install the torque converter scavenge line. Bevel Gear Case Suction Screen
Note: Service the bevel gear case suction screen only when the oil has been drained from the bevel gear case.

(10) Suction hose
Remove suction hose (10) from the front of the bevel gear case. Note: The flange that is located between the suction hose and the bevel gear case will be free to fall down when the four retaining bolts are removed. Support this flange when removing the suction hose.

Remove flange (12), then remove suction screen (11) from the opening in the bevel gear case. Wash the flange and the suction screen in clean, nonflammable solvent.
Inspect O-ring seals that fit into the grooves of the suction hose coupling and the flange. If a seal is damaged, replace the seal.
Install the suction screen, the flange, and the suction hose. Secure these components with the split flanges and the retaining bolts.
Raise the bottom guards and securely fasten the bottom guards. Transmission Suction Screen
Note: Service the transmission case suction screen only when the oil has been drained from the transmission case.
