Removal of OCV Filter from Engines in the Field
Due to governmental regulations and how these engines are certified for emissions compliance, the OCV filter system cannot be removed from an engine that was built with the OCV filter system from the factory. Adding the OCV Filter System to an Engine That Did Not Come from the Factory with an OCV Filter System
If an OCV filter system is desired on an engine that was shipped from the factory without OCV filter system, retrofitting the system back onto the engine is allowed. The table below provides the "Filter gp – Fumes Disposal" and "Fumes Disposal Group" for each engine arrangement. All of the parts within these groups must be installed to fit the OCV system onto the engine. Refer to SIS web parts identification for the list of parts to order and install
