Speed Calibration

Position the machine on level ground.
Stop the engine.
Release the pressure in the hydraulic system. Refer to Testing and Adjusting, "Hydraulic System Pressure - Release".
Install 9U-7400 Multitach Tool Group on the fan for the hydraulic oil cooler.
Start the engine.
Place the machine controls at the following settings: AEC switch OFF and engine speed dial "10".ReferenceRefer to Testing and Adjusting, "Engine Performance - Test (Engine Speed)" for engine rpm settings.
With the hydraulic oil below 48 °C (118 °F), set the fan speed.
Start Service Mode in order to adjust the speed of the fan motor.
Press menu key (8) .
Input the password "FFF2". Press left key (2) or right key (4) in order to change the character. Press OK key (6) or press cancel key (5) in order to delete the value of the flashing character. Press OK key (6) after the correct password is displayed.
Press left key (4) repeatedly until "CALIBRATIONS" appears on the message display. Press OK key (6) .
Press down key (3) in order to move down the cursor until the "FAN SPEED" message display is highlighted.
Press OK key (6) in order to select the "FAN SPEED" message display.
Set the minimum speed limit with left key (2) and right key (4) . Press OK key (6) when the minimum fan speed meets the requirements of Table 2.

Adjust the maximum fan speed with left key (2) and right key (4) . Set the speed to 1050 20 rpm.
Press the OK key (6) when the maximum speed is at the specified value of 1050 20 rpm.
Press set key (7) in order to return the monitor to the main menu.
Increase the hydraulic oil temperature to 55° 5°C (131° 9°F).
Measure speed of the fan in order to verify that the maximum value is met. Use step 7.h through step 7.j in order to recalibrate the fan
