A     1U-9900     Hydraulic Cylinder Repair Bench     1    Note: Check the O-ring seals, the gaskets, and the seals for wear or for damage. Replace the components, if necessary.Note: Lubricate all of the O-ring seals lightly with the lubricant that is being sealed.

Install lubrication fitting (12) .
Install one lock ring (10) to rod assembly (4) .
Lower the temperature of bearing (11) to −75 °C (−103 °F). Install bearing (11) to rod assembly (4) .Note: Ensure that bearing (11) is seated against lock ring (10) .Note: Bearing (11) must be installed so that the fracture plane is along line (X) .
Install remaining lock ring (10) to rod assembly (4) .
Repeat Step 19 through Step 4 for the head end bearing assembly.
Install U-cup seal (15) and lip seal (16) to head (2) .
Install ring (17) and O-ring seal (18) to head (2) .
Install head (2) to rod assembly (4) .
Install rod assembly (4) to Tooling (A) .
Install ball (8), plate (7) and wear ring (6) to rod assembly (4) .
Use Tooling (A) to install rod assembly (4) to cylinder assembly (1). Align rod assembly (4), head (2) with cylinder assembly (1) .
Install two O-ring seals (14) to two covers (13) .
Install two cover assemblies (13), the washers and 18 bolts (3) to head (2) .
Install relief valve (9) and the washer to head (2) .
Install the O-ring seal to valve block (5) .
Install valve block (5) to rod assembly (4) .

Stand cylinder assembly (1) in the upright position. Fill cylinder assembly (1) with approximately 11.2 L (2.96 US gal) of SAE 5W oil.
Turn relief valve (9) counterclockwise in order to allow the air to purge out of port (19) .
When the air is purged from port (19), tighten relief valve (9) to 50 10 N m (37 7 lb ft).Note: Maintain cylinder assembly (1) in the upright position prior to and during installation.End by:a. Install the front suspension cylinder. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Suspension Cylinder (Front) - Install".
