Position the undercarriage under the upper frame.

Remove bolts (18) and install Tooling (J). Remove remaining bolts (18) and remove cover (19) .

Install gear (20). Install cover (19) and install bolts (18) .
Remove Tooling (J) from the final drive. Fill the final drive with oil.

Apply Tooling (L) to the surface of the frame, as shown.

Tooling (H) is shown after the installation of the upper frame.
Use Tooling (A), (B), (C), (D), (E), (F), (G), (H) and (K) in order to lower the upper frame onto the undercarriage. Make sure that the teeth of the pinion shaft are in proper alignment with the teeth of the ring gear of the gear and bearing group.

Apply Tooling (M) to the threads of bolts (1). Not all of bolts (1) will be accessible at this time. Install accessible bolts (1) that retain the upper frame. Tighten bolts (1) to 900 100 N m (665 75 lb ft). The remainder of bolts (1) will be installed later.

Install bolts (15). Install plate (17) and install bolts (16). Install the right front cab mounting bolt (not shown). Tighten the cab mounting bolt to 2700 300 N m (2000 225 lb ft).

Install bolts (14). Temporarily install caps (5), (7), (8), (11), and (12) in order to protect ports from contamination. Install fittings (4), (6), (9), (10), and (13).

Connect twelve hose assemblies (2) from swivel (3) .
Fill the hydraulic oil tank. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Hydraulic System Oil - Change".
Rotate the machine so that the boom of the machine is facing toward the side of the undercarriage. Apply Tooling (M) to the threads of bolts (1). Install the remaining bolts (1) that were obstructed. Tighten bolts (1) to 900 100 N m (665 75 lb ft).End By: Install the stick. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Stick - Install ".
