If the Auto Calibrations (c12 on tracked pavers, c11 on wheeled pavers) will not accept or is taking a long time to accept, there could be a problem with the EDC Solenoids. This type of problem can cause the machine to drift off center or turn without operator input. Perform the following procedure in order to determine if there is a problem.Note: On some models, this type of machine movement could cause a CID 111 left track diagnostic code or a CID 222 right track diagnostic code to become active. Refer to the troubleshooting procedure for these codes in this manual for more information on procedures that can correct this problem.Test Step 1. Perform Auto Calibration
Perform the procedure "Auto Calibration of the Initial Currents" In order to try to correct machine propel conditions that cause the machine to drift off center. Expected Result:The calibration is not being accepted or is taking a long period of time to accept.Results:
YES - The calibration is not accepted correctly.Repair: If the EDC Solenoids are out of null, there could be a large "forward to reverse" and "left to right" difference in the swash plate position versus the output current. In order to solve this problem, perform the EDC Null Adjustment. Refer to Asphalt Pavers Propel System, KENR5013, "Piston Pump Neutral - Test and Adjust" for a procedure to adjust the EDC null.STOP
NO - The calibration is being accepted correctly. There is no problem at this time.STOP
