Remove Planetary Carrier Of Clutch Shaft
start by: a) remove idler gears 1. Remove bearing cage (1) with two 3/8"-16 NC forcing screws. 2. Remove bearing and drive gear (2). The bearing will come off easily. No tools are needed. 3. Remove planetary (3) from the shaft. 4. Remove bolts and plates (4). Slide gear (5) off cage (6). Ring gear can not be removed from housing. If the ring gear must be removed, you will have to take the drum drive gear out first. 5. Since the ring gear will not come out, lift it to the top of the housing and fasten it there with a piece of wire. 6. Remove the shaft bearing cage only if a replacement must be made. The cage will slide freely over the bearings.Install Planetary Carrier Of Clutch Shaft
1. Install shaft bearing cage.2. Put ring gear in position on bearing cage. Install ring gear bolts and plates. Tighten bolts to 36 2 lb. ft. (46 3 N m). 3. Install planetary (1). 4. Install drive gear (2) and bearing.5. Install outer bearing cage.end by: a) install idler gearsDisassemble Planetary Carrier Of Clutch Shaft
start by: a) remove planetary carrier of clutch shaft. 1. Push pin (2) into shaft (1).2. Push shaft out of carrier.3. Remove gear, bearings, and thrust washers from carrier.4. Remove pin from shaft.Assemble Planetary Carrier Of Clutch Shaft
1. Install bearings and thrust washers in gear.2. Install gear in carrier.3. Install shaft in carrier. Pin hole in shaft must be in alignment with pin hole in carrier.4. Push pin into carrier and shaft.end by: a) install planetary carrier of clutch shaft.
