Removal Procedure
Isolate the electric power generation set. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Generator Isolating for Maintenance" for the correct procedure.
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting, and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Cat® products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.
Drain the fuel filter housing into a suitable container. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Fuel System Secondary Filter - Replace" for the correct procedure.

Disconnect harness assemblies (1).
Disconnect tube assemblies (2).

Disconnect tube assembly (3). Remove bolt (4). Remove bolts (5).
Using two people, remove fuel filter housing (6). The weight of fuel filter housing (6) is approximately 30 kg (66 lb). Installation Procedure
Install fuel filter housing (6) in the reverse order of removal.
