The oil filter change interval for G3600 Engines can be extended to every 5,000 hours of operation when the 179-1502 Oil Filter Element is used. This new oil filter element assembly has improvements that provide improved durability. The 179-1502 Oil Filter Element is a direct replacement for the 1W-4136 Filter Element Assembly in all existing G3600 Engine applications.Note: The 179-1502 Oil Filter Element can be distinguished from the 1W-4136 Filter Element Assembly. The 179-1502 Oil Filter Element has a cork style end gasket material and a spiral locked internal steel core. The 1W-4136 Filter Element Assembly has a rubber end gasket material and a standard steel core construction.Note: Do not use the 1W-4136 Filter Element Assembly for extended oil change intervals. The 1W-4136 Filter Element Assembly should only be used for a maximum of 1,000 hours of operation.Note: The 179-1502 Oil Filter Element is also used in diesel engine applications. The 179-1502 Oil Filter Element should NOT be used for extended oil change intervals in diesel engine applications.
