Therefore, change the last sentence to read, "Caps that have been marked with a center punch may NOT be reused."--------------- END SUPPLEMENT ---------------Some servicemen have used a center punch to mark the connecting rod bearing cap when using the torque-turn method to tighten the bolts. Location of punch marks where paint should have been used.Do not use this method of marking the cap. Instead, mark the rod cap and bolt with a paint marker when the torque-turn method is used. Caps that have been marked with a center punch may not be reused.
