A 1P-0520 Driver Gp 1 Start By:
Remove the parking brake.Note: Put identification marks on tube assemblies for installation purposes. Plug all tube assemblies to prevent fluid loss and to keep contaminants from entering the system.

Support front drive shaft (4) with a suitable lifting device to prevent damage to the drive splines.
Remove tube assembly (1).
Remove bolts (2), washers (3), and carrier bearing housing (5).

Remove bolts (6) that hold carrier bearing housings (5) and (7) together.
Remove carrier bearing housing (5) from carrier bearing housing (7).

Remove lip seal (8) from carrier bearing housing (5).Note: Note the orientation of lip seal (8) for installation purposes.

Remove O-ring seal (10) and bearing (9) from carrier bearing housing (7).

Lubricate lip seal (8) lightly with the lubricant that is being sealed. Use Tooling (A) to install lip seal (8) in carrier bearing housing (5). Ensure that lip seal (8) contacts with the counterbore of carrier bearing housing (5).

Lubricate lip seal (11) lightly with the lubricant that is being sealed. Use Tooling (A) to install lip seal (11) in carrier bearing housing (7). Ensure that lip seal (11) contacts with the counterbore of carrier bearing housing (7).
