Remove top four bolts (10) and install Tooling (A).

Install Tooling (B) and a suitable lifting device to torque converter housing (11). Apply tension to torque converter housing (11). The weight of torque converter housing (11) is approximately 227 kg (500 lb).

Remove bolts (12).

Install Tooling (C) and tighten evenly in order to separate torque converter housing (11) from flywheel housing (13).

Remove bolt (14), retainer (15), yoke (16), and sensor (17).

Attach Tooling (D) and a suitable lifting device to torque converter housing (11). Apply tension to torque converter housing (11).

Install Tooling (E) and tighten evenly in order to separate torque converter housing (11) from torque converter (19).
Lift torque converter housing (11) from torque converter (19). Refer to illustration 18. The weight of torque converter housing (11) is approximately 154 kg (340 lb).
