4. Remove guard assemblies (1) from each side of the engine. 5. Disconnect wire (2) for the horn at the connection in the wire.
View From Under Machine6. Loosen clamp (3) and remove bolts (5) to remove elbow (4) from the bottom of the radiator. 7. Loosen clamp (6) and remove bolts (8) to remove elbow (7) from the engine.
Be careful not to damage the radiator core assembly with the fan.
8. Disconnect the fan and adapter from the fan drive and put the fan and adapter against the radiator core assembly. See REMOVE FAN DRIVE AND FAN.
Typical Example9. Use two 5P9736 Link Brackets (9) to fasten a hoist to the radiator and radiator guard and remove the bolts that hold these in position.10. Remove radiator and radiator guard (10) from the machine. The weight of radiator and radiator guard (10) is 544 N m (1200 lbs.)Install Radiator And Radiator Guard
Typical Example1. Use two 5P9736 Link Brackets (1) to fasten a hoist to radiator and radiator guard (2). Put these in position on the machine and install the bolts.2. Connect the fan and adapter to the fan drive. See INSTALL FAN DRIVE AND FAN. 3. Put elbow (4) in position in the hose. Install a new gasket between the elbow and cylinder head. Install the four bolts that hold the elbow in position. Tighten clamp (3). 4. Put elbow (6) in position in the hose and against the bottom of the radiator. Install the three bolts that hold the elbow in position. Tighten clamp (5).5. Connect the wire for the horn. 6. Install guard assemblies (7) on each side of the engine.7. Fill the cooling system with coolant to the correct level. See MAINTENANCE MANUAL.8. Install the crankcase guards.9. Install the hood, muffler and precleaner assembly.
