Use a Tooling (C) in order to raise the track onto Tooling (B). Raise the track until the two pin bores in the track links are in alignment with each other. Apply Tooling (D) in the master pin bores in the track assembly and on the master pin. Use Tooling (A) in order to install the master link. Install the master link pin until the protrusion of the pin is equal on both sides.

Typical example
Attach a Tooling (C) in order to lift the track shoe into position, as shown. Install bolts (4) and nuts for each track shoe (5) and (6). The weight of each track shoe is approximately 35 kg (75 lb). Tighten bolts (4) to 400 70 N m (295 50 lb ft) plus an additional 115 degrees to 125 degrees.

Remove bolts (1) and remove cover (2) .

Close valve (3). Torque valve (3) to 34 7 N m (25 5 lb ft). Apply grease to fitting (7) in order to apply tension to the track. Measuring Track Tension

Place a straight edge on the tracks. The straight edge should be long enough to reach from the idler to the carrier roller.
Measure the maximum amount of sag in the track. The sag is measured from the highest point of the track grouser to the bottom of the edge. A track that is properly adjusted will have a slack of 40 to 55 mm (1 5/8 to 2 1/8 inch ).
