This Service Letter program is only to be applied to machines with an existing 485-0625 CGA Kit INSTALLED or for a machine with CGA provided as a FACTORY OPTION. Reference factory options of 489-1778, 489-1779, 498-1780. Cat Grade Assist performance can be improved in cold weather.
Refer to M0081758, Special Instruction, "Enhancement Procedure for Cat Grade Assist (CGA) on Certain 320E, 320E L, 323F L Excavators". This Special Instruction only provides the parts lists and Rework Procedure to enhance an existing CGA machine.
Note: SEHS0075, Special Instruction, "Installation Procedure for Cat Grade with Assist on Certain 320E and 323F Excavators", is also a good reference.
