Release hydraulic system pressure.
Personal injury can result from hot oil or hot components.At operating temperature, oil is hot and under pressure. Hot oil can cause burns.Remove the fill cap only when the engine is stopped, and the fill cap is cool enough to touch with your bare hand.Do not allow hot oil or components to contact skin.
Personal injury can result from the sudden release of high pressure oil.Be sure the engine has been shut off for a minimum of five minutes to ensure that the accumulator pressure is zero.The accumulator is filled with dry nitrogen. Do not loosen or remove the valve or the cap from the top of the accumulator.

Remove the cap from the hydraulic tank. Install Tooling (A) onto the hydraulic tank. Attach an air supply hose to Tooling (A). Apply 276 to 414 kPa (40 to 60 psi) of air. This procedure will pull vacuum on the hydraulic system.

Disconnect harness assembly (1). Disconnect hose assembly (2).

Install Tooling (B) and a suitable lifting device to make-up accumulator assembly (3). The weight of make-up accumulator assembly (3) is approximately 62 kg (137 lb).
Remove six bolts (4) and make-up accumulator assembly (3). Installation Procedure
Install make-up accumulator assembly (3) in the reverse order of removal.
Check the hydraulic oil level. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Hydraulic System Oil Level - Check" for the correct procedure.
