Remove And Install Valve Covers And Spark Plugs
1. Disconnect harness assembly (1) from transformer assembly (2).2. Remove bolts (3) and transformer assembly (2) from the valve cover. 3. Remove extension assembly (4) from inside the tube.4. Remove the spark plug from inside the tube. 5. Remove bolts (5) and remove valve cover (6) from the valve cover base. 6. Remove the bolt and retainer that holds tube (7) in the cylinder head. Remove tube (7), and if necessary, remove the O-ring seals. The following steps are for the installation of the valve covers and spark plugs.7. Put clean engine oil on the O-ring seals. Position tube (7) in the cylinder head and install the retainer and bolt that holds it.8. Make sure the seal is installed in the groove of valve cover (6). Cut new seals to fit at assembly.9. Put valve cover (6) in position on the valve cover base and install bolts (5) to hold it.10. Install the spark plug inside the tube.11. Install extension assembly (4) on the spark plug.12. Install transformer assembly (2) on the valve cover and install bolts (3) to hold it.13. Connect harness assembly (1) to the transformer assembly. Install new lock wire.
