1. Activate the parking brake.2. Connect the steering frame lock link. See "Separate & Connect Steering Frame Lock Link" in this module.3. Release the pressure in the hydraulic system as follows:a. Move the lift control lever to the "Float" position.b. Shut off the engine.c. Move the lift control lever to the "Float" position.d. Shut off the engine.e. Move the lift control lever to the "Hold" position.
At operating temperature, the hydraulic oil tank is hot and under pressure. Hot oil can cause burns. Remove the filler cap on the hydraulic oil tank only when the engine is stopped, and the filler cap is cool enough to touch with your bare hand. Be sure all the hydraulic pressure is released before any fittings, hoses or components are loosened, tightened, removed or adjusted.
f. Carefully loosen the filler cap on the hydraulic oil tank to release the pressure.g. Carefully loosen the plugs at the rear of the tilt cylinder. When the oil from the loosened plugs stops draining, tighten the two plugs. To release the pressure in the attachment cylinders, carefully loosen the two large plugs near the plugs at the top of the loader frame. When the oil from the loosened plugs stops draining, tighten the two large plugs.h. Tighten the filler cap on the hydraulic oil tank.i. The pressure in the hydraulic system has now been released.Start By:a. remove bucketb. remove link assemblyc. remove lever assemblyd. remove tilt cylinder 4. Position lift arm assembly (1) on tooling (A) as shown. Attach hoist to lift cylinder (2) and remove pin assembly (3) and lower cylinder onto frame. 5. Attach straps to lift arm (1). Disconnect hose assemblies (5), remove pin assembly (4). 6. Remove lip seals (6) and bearings (7) if necessary.7. The weight of the lift arms are approximately 500 kg (1100 lb)8. Coat all bores for pins with 5P960 Multipurpose Grease including lift and tilt cylinders and bucket pin bores.9. Install washers as required between lift arm and frame to suit minimum clearance fit up.10. Lubricate sealing lip lightly with the lubricant being sealed.11. Install washers as required between lift arm and bucket. Use minimum of one washer at each boss interface.
