C-9The "Injection Actuation Pressure Test" that is used to diagnose the HEUI Fuel System on 3126E, C7, and C9 engines that use the new High Efficiency Pumps "HEP" has been revised. The "Injection Actuation Pressure Test" is found in the Troubleshooting module for your specific engine application. The Test Steps that have been added will make the procedure more useful and lead to logical decisions. When using this procedure remember the following:
The "HEP" fuel pumps do not use a rail pressure control valve.
With the exception of the fuel transfer pump, the "HEP" fuel pumps are not serviceable in the field and should not be disassembled.
Circle the appropriate answers found in each of the test steps.
Record all data that has been collected.
Return the completed pages with any failed "HEP" fuel system components.
