Information:
Eject Pressure
Install a pressure gauge on the test fitting for the ejector system. The pressure gauge must be capable of measuring 34000 kPa (5000 psi).ReferenceRefer to Testing and Adjusting, "General Information" for the location of the test fitting for the machine that is being tested.
Start the engine and move the ejector control fully forward past the EJECT position. There is no detent in this position.
When the ejector blade has reached full travel, run the engine at maximum speed. Hold the ejector control fully forward and record the pressure that is displayed on the pressure gauge. This is the eject pressure. The eject pressure should be 17250 350 kPa (2500 50 psi). If the eject pressure is correct, proceed to Step 4.If the pressure is incorrect, the pressure must be adjusted. Proceed to Step 3.a.
Shut off the engine and then raise the cab. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Cab - Tilt".
Illustration 1 g01172729
The ejector control valve is located beneath the cab.The adjustment screw is part of relief valve (1) . The relief valve is installed in the ejector control valve.
Rotate the adjustment screw clockwise in order to increase the eject pressure.Rotate the adjustment screw counterclockwise in order to decrease the eject pressure.
Lower the cab. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Cab - Tilt".
Repeat the procedure from Step 2.
Retract the ejector blade and shut off the engine.
Remove the pressure gauge from the machine.Retract Pressure

Start the engine and run the engine at low idle.
Ensure that the ejector blade is fully retracted.
Move the ejector control to the EJECT position and then move the ejector control to the RETRACT position. Increase the engine speed and hold the ejector control in the RETRACT position. Record the pressure that is displayed on the pressure gauge. This is the retract pressure. The retract pressure should be 20700 350 kPa (3000 50 psi). If the retract pressure is incorrect, there may be a problem with one of the components of the ejector system or one of the components of the braking system. Refer to Systems Operation, Testing and Adjusting, "Ejector System Troubleshooting".
Shut off the engine and remove the pressure gauge from the machine.
