Install 14 springs (10) in parking brake housing (4) .

Lubricate O-ring seal (9) with Tooling (A) . Install O-ring seal (9) on piston (3) .

Install piston (3) in position over the springs.
Lubricate O-ring seal (8) with Tooling (A) . Install O-ring seal (8) in position on the parking brake housing.

Lubricate seal ring (5) with Tooling (A) . Install seal ring (5) in piston retainer (1) .
Lubricate O-ring seal (7) with Tooling (A) . Install O-ring (7) .

Improper assembly of parts that are spring loaded can cause bodily injury.To prevent possible injury, follow the established assembly procedure and wear protective equipment.
Install retainer (1) over piston (3) . Install two socket head bolts (2) . Tighten socket head bolts (2) evenly in order to compress the springs.
When retainer (1) is seated on parking brake housing (4) tighten socket head bolts (2) to a torque of 100 20 N m (75 15 lb ft).End By: Install the parking brake. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly , "Parking Brake - Install".
