Stopping the Machine
1. Stop the machine and apply the parking brake. 2. Lower the blade and implements to the ground. Apply a slight down pressure.Stopping the Engine
Stopping the engine immediately after it has been working under load can result in overheating and accelerated wear of the engine components. Follow the stopping procedure, outlined below, to allow the engine to cool and to prevent excessive temperatures in the turbocharger centerhousing that will cause oil coking problems.
1. With the machine stopped, operate the engine at low idle for five minutes. 2. Pull the accelerator up, past the detent, to stop the engine. 3. Turn the disconnect switch OFF and remove the key.
When parking the machine, the disconnect switch must be OFF and the centershift lock pin in the INDEX and RUN position.
